Lost in the Valley of Death (2022)

In the summer of 2016, Justin Alexander Shetler embarked on a spiritual journey in a remote valley in the Indian Himalayas. He packed little, enlisted the services of a sadhu—a Hindu ascetic—to guide him, and planned on meditating and sleeping out under the stars at a holy lake for weeks. He never returned, and joined a decades-long history of dozens of backpackers who have mysteriously disappeared in the Parvati Valley. This is the true story about the dark and dangerous road to find spirituality in India.

Big Lonely Doug (2018)

Vancouver Island, British Columbia, was once covered in great cedars, hemlocks, and firs. But after a century of commercial logging, few of the giant, centuries-old trees remained. In 2011, a logger named Dennis Cronin found one of the largest Douglas-firs in Canada, wrapped green LEAVE TREE ribbon around its trunk, and saved it from being cut down. The tree, standing on its own in the middle of a clear cut and named Big Lonely Doug, became and icon—attracting tourists from around the world and changing the way we see our forests.
